Description
Bamys: for baby alpaca, merino, yak and silk!
One word to define it? Exquisite.
Composition:
42% Baby Alpaca, 13% Merino 18.5 Microns, 10% Yak and 35% Silk. The perfect substitute for mohair yarn.
The soft, warm color of natural yak gives a warm tone to the yarn.
Bamys is very pleasant to knit and creates a very soft Yak halo. The resulting fabric is very light and warm.
Ideal for lace shawls/cowls, and lightweight sweaters, and works great for adding a warm halo with any other yarn.
Our wools are hand dyed. Therefore, you must plan on the quantity needed for your projects, as the colour may vary from one bath to another. We take great care to reproduce the colour of our images as closely as possible, however, screen displays may vary. Thus the color of the skeins you receive may vary slightly from the photo displayed. For a more uniform knit, I recommend that you alternate your skeins.
Suggested needle sizes and gauges :
