Description
Alina is a soft blend of merino (83%) and linen (17%).
Very soft with a slight tweed texture.
The two plies of this yarn have a medium twist so they naturally and gently open away from each other, giving the yarn a lively, textured look when knitted. For sweaters and pullovers, it’s crisper than a single-ply yarn like Aristo, which creates a more structured fabric. Ideal if you want a bit more body in your finished piece. For shawls, lace stitches really pop as the folds open up the holes in the lace.
Natural linen gives the yarn a textured finish with a subtle drape and creates a rustic look, almost handspun when knitted.
Our yarns are hand-dyed, so plan the quantity you need for your projects, as color can vary from one dye lot to another. We do our best to match our photos as closely as possible; however, screens can vary. So the color of the skeins you receive may differ slightly from the photo shown. For a more even knit, I recommend alternating your skeins.

I named this merino–linen yarn Alina. This name means Noble, just like linen, which is also the oldest noble fiber in the world!
