This beautiful knitting yarn is perfectly suited for your precious knitting projects!
In other words, it’s perfect for knitting sweaters, shawls, and even socks!
It stands out for its beautiful drape and incredible sheen. It also gives unique depth to the colorway.
La Tibétaine merino silk and yak yarn can be knit on its own. However, it can easily be held together with a strand of Mohair like l’Impératrice.
Our yarns are hand-dyed. Therefore, please ensure you plan for the necessary quantity for your projects, as color may vary from dye lot to dye lot. We strive to reproduce the color in our images as faithfully as possible; however, screen colors may vary.
Thus, the color of the skeins you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. For more uniform knitting, I recommend alternating your skeins.
For the care of your Tibétaine merino silk and yak, I recommend hand washing your knits in cold water and laying them flat to dry.

Yak is native to the Himalayas.
In conclusion, for this collection I wanted a name that reflects the place where one of the world’s few remaining wild herds currently lives. Today, wild yaks are found mainly in northern Tibet and western Qinghai.
