The Frank Shawl knitting kit is easy to make, so it’s suitable for all types of knitters. Triangular pieces are assembled to create a spectacular scarf with a unique shape that’s both beautiful and surprising to wear, with lots of points, each in a different colour.

The shawl is built in 3 triangular sections, joined together while working the last one.

Kit 1 – Classic Merlin: 1 main-colour skein: Salted Caramel + 10 g (385 m) + 3 skeins of Merlin (80% merino – 20% nylon) 354 m. Colours: Ecru, Aries, and Storm

Kit 2 – Romantic Merlin: 1 main-colour skein: Salted Caramel + 10 g (385 m) + 3 skeins of Merlin (80% merino – 20% nylon) 354 m. Colours: Icy Lavender, Lavender, and Purple

1 Tibetan skein and 3 Merlin skeins

Kit 3 – Classic Tibetan + Merlin: 1 Tibetan main-colour skein: Salted Caramel (400 m) + 3 skeins of Merlin (80% merino – 20% nylon) 354 m. Colours: Ecru, Aries, and Storm

Gauge:

18 sts – 38 rows = 10 cm

Suggested needle size:

3.75 mm – US 5

Other accessories you’ll need: stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires, and a bit of yarn to hold stitches.

Note, however, that for this project your gauge isn’t essential.

As a result, the finished size may be different if you don’t get the same gauge.
