Knitting Kit – Cabled Trellis Cowl by Stephen West
The Cabled Trellis cowl is knitted in the round (tube). It is therefore completely reversible. Increases and decreases form a tapered shape, which works like a cozy cave of warmth while the wide part curves over your head like a hood. The cast-on and bind-off edges are sewn together for a fully reversible, double-thickness fabric. The stripes and cables form the Cabled Trellis graphic pattern and you only have to work with one color at a time. This cowl works well with DK weight yarn, however it could just as easily be made with Flocon worsted base.
To make the Cabled Trellis Cowl, the kit includes:
A mix of bases:
Flocon DK, Lancelot DK or Morgane for more texture.
4 skeins of 100 g.
You can also make your own kit by choosing 4 skeins of DK
You will also need, to make the pattern:
Needles required in the pattern: 4 mm and 4.5 mm,
For the gauge:
Gauge: 20 sts/40 rows according to the pattern for 10 cm (2 rows garter stitch/2 rows stockinette)
