Description
The Cooler Side of Warm Cowl Knitting Kit by Espace Tricot is knit from the bottom up. First, you work the 1×1 ribbing flat, creating an opening on the side that fits your shoulders perfectly and covers your back and chest well. Then you join in the round for the rest of the cowl. Finish with 1×1 ribbing while decreasing needle size to tighten the neck opening.
Espace Tricot designed this pattern and knits it in a single color. But it’s just as lovely with stripes! Plus, the pattern is free.
If you’d like to make the cowl in 2 colors—one solid skein and the other in Speckles—contact me.
To make the sample:
Needles suggested in the pattern: 4.5 mm and 5 mm.
Gauge: 20 sts in the round, stockinette stitch after blocking with 5 mm needles.
For the The Cooler Side of Warm Cowl Knitting Kit, you need 2 skeins of the Flocon-Worsted base.
You can find the The Cooler Side of Warm pattern on Ravelry, here.
Note: the cowl is very comfortable to wear.
