\nHaynes is a rural farming community in central Alberta, in Lacombe County. This hamlet takes its name from the nearby creek, which was itself named after one of the early Prairie pioneers.
\nMy father’s family settled in the area three generations before me, and my father started his own farm a kilometer from Haynes in 1963.
