This beanie has a double brim\u2014its signature feature. It\u2019s knit in Flocon (worsted). Simple and relaxed, easy to make to keep our ears nice and warm! <\/p>\n
Unlike most beanies, there\u2019s no ribbing, but it stays extremely well on your head.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s knit bottom-up.<\/p>\n
I knit this double-brim beanie last winter when it came out\u2014and I really put it to the test! Soft and so comfy to wear. I made it in Flocon so it would be nice and breathable. It\u2019s easy to adapt. If you follow the pattern, it\u2019s a bit \u201cslouchy.\u201d But if you knit a few fewer rounds, it can be nicely fitted. <\/p>\n
As an alternative, you could also use the Merlin base (fingering) and knit it holding 2 strands together.
\nGauge: 22 sts \u2013 28 rows = 10 cm<\/p>\n
Suggested needle size: 4.5 mm \u2013 US 7<\/p>\n
