Description
Sa Majesté – Baby alpaca-silk-cashmere.
This yarn is like a soft, fluffy cloud; it’s super soft and light.
The fabric is very light and airy.
Sa Majesté is simply irresistible!
A joy to knit. Ideal for all garments and accessories.
Knitted alone, the resulting fabric is light and warm.
Held double (with another yarn), Sa Majesté is an excellent replacement for mohair.
Composition:
53% super baby alpaca, 34% silk, and 13% cashmere.
Our yarns are hand-dyed. Therefore, you should plan for the quantity needed for your projects, as colors can vary from one dye lot to another. We take care to reproduce the colors in our images as accurately as possible; however, screen displays may vary. Thus, the color of the skeins you receive may vary slightly from the photo shown. For a more uniform knit, I recommend alternating your skeins.
Suggested needle sizes and gauge:
Needle: The gauge on 3.75 mm (US 5) is 23 stitches.
Yardage: 400 m / 50 g (438 yds / 1.76 oz.) Lace weight yarn.
Care:
Hand wash with a wool soap like Soak, ideally at room temperature (21 °C). Avoid agitation or wringing.
Dry flat away from direct sunlight, do not wring or tumble dry.
Non-machine washable wool (non-SW).

A little history on the origin of the name for my Sa Majesté base – Baby alpaca – silk and cashmere:
“Her Imperial Majesty” is sometimes used to refer to emperors and empresses.
I was looking for an alternative to my L’Impératrice base (super kid mohair). When I held it and swatched it, the name became obvious.
