The Night & Day cowl is worked on the bias, then seamed. (It’ll definitely be my favourite cowl this winter!)
The magic of simple slipped stitches and clever shaping come together to create a one-of-a-kind cowl that’s as fun to knit as it is to wear!

I love the playful checkerboard pattern that really shows off higher-contrast colours.

♥ Suggested base: Britannia ⇔ choose your colours. (75% BFL and 25% Masham.)

The knitting kit includes:

2 skeins in contrasting colours

You’ll have enough to make the cowl in any of the 4 pattern sizes.

Suggested sizes: 1 (2-3-4)

child (teen, small adult, large adult)

Finished measurements, washed after blocking:

Circumference – 18.75 (21.5, 24, 26.5)”/47.5 (54.5, 61, 67.5) cm

Back neck depth – 6 (7.25, 8.5, 9.75)”/15 (18.5, 21.5, 25) cm

(* With the extra depth at the back of the neck, the Night & Day cowl will be easy to wear with your winter coat.)

For the gauge swatch:

◊ 20 sts and 34 rows = 4″/10 cm

You will also need, to complete the pattern: (not included)

◊ Suggested needle in the pattern: 4 mm/US 6.
