The stitches used are hemstitch and stockinette stitch. The shaping is fascinating, and will add "crazy chic" to all your outfits!

Schnecke is timeless! You'll want to wear it for all your special occasions.

It's very lightweight, and will add class to even your simplest garments.

It's a quick project despite the fact that it's a lace yarn, because it knits up in 4 mm (depending on your sample.)

Base used: Empress(super-kid mohair forms a fine mist).

For those intolerant to mohair, an alternative would be to use the Bamys base.

The Schnecke shawl would also be fluid.

3 skeins of Impératrice.

Measures:

Length: 63.5"/162 cm - Depth: 25″/64 cm.

According to the boss.

For the sample :

◊20m x 34 rows =4 x 4 inches/10 x 10 cm, in stockinette stitch on a 4.0 mm/US 6 needle

(the sample is not essential for this project, but will affect the final size and quantity of yarn used).
