Description
Double Brim Basic Bitch Beanie by Rene Keller
This beanie has a double brim—its signature feature. It’s knit in Flocon (worsted). Simple and relaxed, easy to make to keep our ears nice and warm!
Unlike most beanies, there’s no ribbing, but it stays extremely well on your head.
It’s knit bottom-up.
I knit this double-brim beanie last winter when it came out—and I really put it to the test! Soft and so comfy to wear. I made it in Flocon so it would be nice and breathable. It’s easy to adapt. If you follow the pattern, it’s a bit “slouchy.” But if you knit a few fewer rounds, it can be nicely fitted.
As an alternative, you could also use the Merlin base (fingering) and knit it holding 2 strands together.
Gauge: 22 sts – 28 rows = 10 cm
